If you’re looking for a unique dining experience and atmosphere this is the place. We had a great lunch experience, made reservations right at opening time. Service was exceptional. Must try the pork belly lettuce cups that are out of this world. I’m not a pork belly fan and they were fantastic. Also the dish and chips were incredible. Really enjoyed our dining experience.
This restaurant is located on the nice Broadmoor property. The building is nostalgic and quaint with the entrance down 4 steps into a quiet off the beaten path great place to eat. As you step into the restaurant you are greeted by a friendly receptionist. Tables are spaced a person doesn't feel crowded. The place is decorated interesting and in step with the quiet feel of a very nice place to eat. Servers are the best helping you pick your favorite tastes, bar drinks are excellent, and prices are reasonable for such a good meal. The plates are well filled so take a good appetite in with you. They have piano sing-a-long nights as well. And you'll wear your bumble bees long after you leave the restaurant!.....Enjoy!
Absolutely wonderful service. Everyone we interacted with was so kind. The food was slightly elevated pub fare. But definitely had the best Cuban Sandwich (Cubano) I've had, outside of Miami. Beautiful, old-English pub decor. And the price was actually a bit less than what I expected for a Broadmoor restaurant. We'll be back again soon.
My favorite place to eat When I visit Colorado Springs! At 7:30 the piano player comes out and starts playing music and at 9:00 p.m. they hand out song books and you can request piano player to play songs from the book. And the people in the restaurant we'll use the song books to sing.
Lovely gastropub setup, with fine drinks and a very tasty menu. Service was attentive, friendly, and helpful. Food was all tasty -- not life-changing, but quite good. The cocktail menu was fun and, trying the ones that actually had honey, very drinkable (the honey mule was particularly good). The place is loud, but not oppressively so. Even with a piano player belting out greatest hits of the 70s, I could still hold a conversation with my table mate. The only disappointment of the evening was that they did not have any of the printed pint glasses for sale; the etched ones, at 52, were a bit steep. Net-net, a great casual place to go for our first evening at the Broadmoor. Would definitely return.
The Golden Bee has an amazing atmosphere, the service is top notch, and the food is delicious. My only complaint of the whole visit was my food came out cold, which ruined the taste a little as it was the lamb. My husband's food was hot and perfect. Deserts were delicious.
Came in for a quick lunch. I love the atmosphere and the way they use the bee theme. Jessica was our server and she did a fantastic job. Very friendly and I loved getting the bees stickers. Very fun. I got the shrimp and grits and it was very delicious. Wish we had time for desert and rink because they looked very good. On the high price for things but everything was good quality. I would come back.
Ate here about 12 years ago and the wings were amazing. Went back recently after all these years to see the wings are no longer offered and the menu changes every so often- I love that idea and hope the wings will make it back to an upcoming menu! Latoya, our waitress was outstanding. Nolan, was also very friendly and engaging. The entire staff was professional and having fun while at it. It was such peace of mind for me to know they work with a high level of professionalism that is blatantly obvious from the hostess , to the bussers and all in between. Everyone was friendly, working taking care of the patrons. We were immediately greeted upon entering and promptly sat. The piano guy started at 7pm and was a lovely addition to our dinner. BF got the chicken kabob, swapped the naan for rice. He was very impressed- being from Baghdad, he said the rice reminded him of home. There is an interesting cilantro sauce that accompanies this dish that was good. The kabobs were full of flavor and tender. I had the fish and chips, I feel the fries could have been a bit more crispy, the fish was tender and fried to a nice golden brown. The tartar sauce was original and delicious. It's The Golden Bee, obviously I recommend this establishment but also because they earn it. Thank you for maintaining such professionalism which brings such peace of mind to my meal.
